ENGLISH 2019 (-ED START)

THE -ED START

Try starting a sentence with the -ed form of the verb. It makes for a punch opening to the sentence.

Committed, Undaunted, Determined, Forced, Gifted, Blighted, Thrilled, Delighted, Blessed, Overpowered, Surprised, Thrilled

Thrilled by the score, coach shouted us all Maccas.

Haunted by what happened, she has nightmares every night.

THE W-START SENTENCE

Try beginning with a W-Word. Here are some: WHO, WHILE, WHEN, WHERE, WHAT, WHEREAS. The W-start makes writing sound  thoughtful and knowledgeable.

E.g When the baking was completed, the ovens were cleaned thoroughly.

When she got home from training, she went to sleep.
While she was cooking, her brother was cleaning.

Preposition.
Behind me, there is a lady walking her dog
Surprisingly, she was on time to school

THE -ING START
Deciding, Speaking, Seeing, Grasping, Rising, Looking, Holding, Emerging, Taking, Signalling, Analysing

The rule when you finish you -ing phrase, place a comma, then write the rest of your sentence.

Speaking of food, I'm hungry
Fearing trouble, I began to run
