THE -ED START
Try starting a sentence with the -ed form of the verb. It makes for a punch opening to the sentence.
Committed, Undaunted, Determined, Forced, Gifted, Blighted, Thrilled, Delighted, Blessed, Overpowered, Surprised, Thrilled
Thrilled by the score, coach shouted us all Maccas.
Haunted by what happened, she has nightmares every night.
THE W-START SENTENCE
Try beginning with a W-Word. Here are some: WHO, WHILE, WHEN, WHERE, WHAT, WHEREAS. The W-start makes writing sound thoughtful and knowledgeable.
E.g When the baking was completed, the ovens were cleaned thoroughly.
When she got home from training, she went to sleep.
While she was cooking, her brother was cleaning.
Preposition.
Behind me, there is a lady walking her dog
Surprisingly, she was on time to school
THE -ING START
Deciding, Speaking, Seeing, Grasping, Rising, Looking, Holding, Emerging, Taking, Signalling, Analysing
The rule when you finish you -ing phrase, place a comma, then write the rest of your sentence.
Speaking of food, I'm hungry
Fearing trouble, I began to run
