Meadow & Hinepu
This experiment was to try and get dirty water in to drinking clean and clear water. We used a water bottle, paper towels, plastic cups, cloth and dirty water. We tried heaps of different techniques like using cotton buds, but they ended up just absorbing the water which meant it wasn't going back into the cup. Ours worked well but we are going to try again to get even clearer water.

We had to modify the project heaps especially when we left our project and other people put dish washing liquid in our cup that was gathering the water, but thats okay we just got a fresh cup and new paper towels and re - done it. Then Mr Guy told us about double filtering it by putting the water through again so we tried it and it worked so good our water was very clear.

ReplyDeleteReally impressed that you were able to continue the experiment after someone messed with your design, very clever. It is interesting that the cotton wool actually made the filter less effective. It would be great if you could include a list of all the equipment you used.
